Complex Networks
Setup of a complex and secure network for a fictional company.
About
During my two years in the BUT program in Networks and Telecommunications, with a specialization in cybersecurity, I gained comprehensive knowledge in configuring network equipment, managing IT services, and securing enterprise networks. This foundation of learning culminated in the final project of the program, titled 'Configuration of a Secure Network,' which allowed me to put into practice the various skills and concepts acquired throughout the course. In this project, I went through several critical stages to build a secure and robust network. I began by setting up virtual machines to emulate the network, followed by configuring routers and implementing a firewall for security. I then established an Active Directory and set up a DMZ using Docker, along with essential services like mail and telephony. The project also involved securing these services and implementing redundancy to ensure network reliability and continuity. This project provided me with valuable hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of securing and managing complex network infrastructures.
